The small but perfectly formed county of Louth on Ireland’s  East Coast covers an area of only 317 miles, but is packed with exceptional attractions from the dramatic landscape around Carlingford Lough to the historically rich Boyne Valley.

Central to Ireland’s ancient past, Louth is filled with ancient relics and monuments, while the scenery in the north around the beautiful and dramatic Cooley Peninsula resounds with legend, myth and folk tales.

The heritage town of Carlingford sits beneath the beautiful green Slieve Foy Mountain at the edge of Carlingford Lough giving this medieval town unrivalled natural appeal. Dundalk, meanwhile, is an impressive and lively town with excellent museums and a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
