City Walls
The city of Derry’s walls resound with 1,450 years of history and are the city’s number one tourist attraction, which isn’t surprising when you consider that this is the only completely walled city in the British Isles.
The Guildhall
The main civic and cultural building in the city of Derry has the largest collection of stained glass in Ireland – particularly stunning when the sun shines through.
The Heritage Tower
Located in the Fountain area of the city of Derry, the 19th-century Heritage Tower’s gaol (jail) was once home to Irish leaders De Valera and Wolfe Tone, and now is filled with artifacts and memorabilia stretching back to World War I.
St Columb’s Cathedal
Built in 1633, St. Columb’s is the most historic building in the city of Derry. The Cathedral is dedicated to St Columba, who established a Christian settlement there in the sixth century.
