As soon as guests arrive at Askanagap Country Cottage, they immediately begin to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful area that makes the cottage a truly delightful place to relax, unwind and enjoy a country break. Nestled near Aughrim in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains, this cosy cottage has everything needed to feel at home. It is also wheelchair accessible and has ample private, off-road parking. Bright and spacious, Askanagap Country Cottage has three double bedrooms, one of which is ensuite. An extra single bed or cot is available on request. The house also has a well-equipped kitchen, lounge with open fire, TV, DVD player, radio/CD player, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There is an enclosed garden and patio area with furniture for relaxing or dining outside on warm days. Guests at Askanagap Country Cottage will receive a welcome pack, free turf for the fireplace, linen and towels. Additionally, electricity and oil-fired central heating are included. Askanagap is an ideal base for touring Wicklow and the east coast. A golfer’s paradise, there are 10 courses within a 30-minute drive as well as many Blue Flag beaches along the coast. Renowned heritage sites such as Powerscourt House and Gardens, Glendalough, Wicklow’s Historic Gaol, and Avondale House and Forest Park are in easy driving distance. Families are sure to find plenty to do too, as the Sealife Aquarium, Glenroe Open Farm, Clara Lara Funpark and Greenane Farm are within reach.
