Situated in the heart of the luscious Glen of Aherlow Nature Park, Aherlow Woods comprises modern, self-catering holiday cottages. Found in County Tipperary and surrounded by the impressive Galtee Mountains, the cottages are perfect for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. There are a variety of marked walkways and cycle trails of varying difficulty, with stunning, panoramic views. There are also prehistoric and early Christian sites throughout the glen, and guided walks can be booked locally. An alternative way to explore the mountains is on horseback, as the Hillcrest Riding Centre in nearby Galbally gives riding lessons and treks for riders of all levels of ability. The tributaries of the River Suir flow through The Glen of Aherlow and offer excellent trout and perch fishing. Visitors can also relax with a game of golf at a local course, enjoy a day at the Tipperary Racecourse or experience the lovely traditional pubs in the area. Aherlow Woods Holiday Homes are a property of Trident Holiday Homes and boast a four-star rating. They have an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area with TV, DVD player and Internet access.
