Danloes Thatched Cottage is one of the few original Irish cottages that provide the combination of Ireland of the past and the comfort and conveniences of the modern world. This self catering cottage is ideally situated on the banks of the Cleady River, in a quiet peaceful location, just 3km from the award winning tourist town of Kenmare. The cottage boasts two upstairs bedrooms, a kitchen/dining room, a conservatory with fabulous views of the river and mountains, an entrance hall, and a sitting room with a traditional large hearth open turf fireplace. This is an ideal retreat location for sports enthusiast being convenient to golf, angling, hillwalking, cycling routes, fishing, swimming, water sports and pony trekking. There are also award winning restaurants, traditional pubs and shops nearby. This is a great base for touring Kerry and West Cork. The Cottage is an original Irish Cottage dating back to 1860. It has been restored meticulously and maintains the original charm and style while it combines the modern comfort and conveniences.
