The Benwiskin Centre Hostel boasts a beautiful, scenic location in Ballintrillick, which sits in the shadow of Benwiskin Mountain and near the Sligo coastline. It serves as an ideal base for exploring all the offerings of the Northwest region. The hostel can accommodate up to 30 people it its two family rooms, three twin rooms and eight-bed mixed dormitory, all of which are ensuite. The centre also caters to groups and can be hired out in its entirety. Rates include WiFi, bed linen and use of the self-catering kitchen, dining room, barbeque area and garden. The Benwiskin Centre prides itself on being eco-friendly and therefore features recycling facilities, solar panels and a wood pellet boiler. Its efforts were recognized with the EU Flower Ecolabel Certification in 2008. Travellers will find many things to do in Ballintrillick and the surrounding area. Sligo Town is 25km away, while Innishmurray Island is situated a few kilometers offshore. Literature fans won’t want to miss out on a trip to Drumcliffe, where William Butler Yeats is buried. Meanwhile, the Dartry Mountains are a great destination for those who enjoy exploring the outdoors.
