Gorteen Farmhouse is a 4 star B&B set in the blissful, serene setting of Tulla, County Clare. Come and enjoy the ‘Gorteen experience’ with the hosts’ motto – “Friendship, comfort and good food”. A tree-lined, tarmac avenue leads you to a refurbished, warm home where life is lived at a relaxed pace. Here, each ensuite bedroom is furnished with orthopedic beds, electric blankets, power showers, hair dryers and tea and coffee making facilities. Take afternoon tea in the garden or enjoy the comfort of a peat-burning stove on a chilly night. All dietary requirements are catered for and homemade breads, jams and organic food (that’s often sourced from Gorteen Farmhouse) also feature on the breakfast table. Reduced rates are available for 2-3 night stays. Gorteen Farmhouse is situated close to the Burren (49 minutes away), Bunratty Castle and Folk Park (30 minutes away) and the Cliffs of Moher (one hour away). Craggaunowen open-air heritage museum is just a 15-minute drive away. There are also some great angling spots and equestrian centres within a few kilometres of this enchanting residence. Conveniently, Shannon airport is just twenty five minutes from the home while the town of Ennis, home to some excellent traditional music and pub sessions, is approximately a ten minute drive away. The hosts here are happy to provide itinerary help and advice for those exploring the local area as well as those wishing to journey a little further afield to sights such as the wonderful ruined pile, the Rock of Cashel.
