The Aherlow House Hotel in Aherlow, County Cork offers 15 luxurious and charming self-catering lodges in total, and are all situated just a short stroll from the hotel. With their unique Alpine design, the lodges are ideally designed to complement their stunning setting amongst the forest throughout the picturesque Glen of Aherlow. The Lodges are designed to give a special living space, airy and bright, yet luxurious and warm. Parking spaces are available outside each lodge for residents' convenience. For those who want to enjoy the benefits of the lodges but also want a wonderful dining experience, you can visit the Treetop Restaurant located in the main hotel. The Glen of Aherlow, Tipperary is a walkers paradise offering a variety of low level and mountain walks. Nothing beats early morning fishing in the river Aherlow, in such quiet and tranquil surroundings. The river offers brown trout and perch, whilst just a short drive away the River Suir also has stocks of salmon. Fishing permits can be obtained in the tourist office in Cahir, whilst no permit is required to fish in the river Aherlow. The river Blackwater in Fermoy is well stocked and again only a short drive away. There are four 18 hole golf courses within a 12 mile radius of the Aherlow House Hotel & Lodge, two of which are championship designed courses. Located on the Glen of Aherlow Road in Tipperary, Dundrum, Ballykisteen and Cahir, they offer plenty of varied choice and challenge to golfing enthusiasts.
