The guesthouse is surrounded by a working farm with lands that extend to the Shore of the Bay, a delight for nature lovers, botanists and birdwatchers. An AA selected and Irish Hotels Federation grade A three star rated. Recommended in the prestigious French travel guide, Le Guide du Routard, The Los Angeles Times and Karen Brown's Ireland Guide. The rooms at Sea Shore Farm are spacious and among the largest that can be found in any guesthouse. They are furnished with comfortable chairs, a table and include queen and king size beds and also twin beds. Each bedroom contains a spacious ensuite with bath or shower, direct dial telephone, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Complimentary WiFi is available in all the rooms. The guest lounge contains an extensive library of books and travel literature for guests' enjoyment and assistance. There are extensive patio areas where the guest can enjoy the lovely summer evening watching the tide ebb and flow and also observe the large variety of birds. All ground floor areas meet the standards of the National Rehabilitation Board. The bedrooms and the ensuite facilities are designed for full wheelchair access and include various aids to cater for disabled people's needs. Kenmare is magnificently situated at the point where the River Roughty opens into the estuary of the Kenmare Bay. Kenmare nestles among the mountains of Cork and Kerry, hence its Irish name Neidín meaning Little Nest or Little Cradle. The old Kenmare seems to have evolved comfortably into the present. Old pubs, shops selling fine local craftwork, accommodation from hostels to top grade hotels, restaurants to suit every taste and pocket, touring, golf, fishing, and boating, all of these have grown organically in The Little Nest, surrounded by the wild beauty of the Kerry mountains, the great bay, and the wooded Roughty Valley. Quite apart from the splendour of its own setting, Kenmare is also an ideal centre for exploring the beauties of the south west of Ireland.
