Introduction

With the soft golden sand beneath their toes, Pauline and Ros from Londonderry admit they’ve ‘arrived in heaven’ for a stone skimming competition (next time, they promise, they’re body boarding with the kids. Local man Padraic from Connemara cruises around bogs and lakes, hills and valleys, and realises again why ‘nowhere in the world is as nice as this.’ Ricky and John link to ricky and john ‘get out and get wet’ in an invigorating boat ride alongside Antrim’sCauseway Coastal Route. Meanwhile, Clare man Blackie walks across the Burren – or at least a small part of this 200sq km unique limestone landscape – and admits it’s just ‘stunning to have this on your doorstep.’ As varied as it is beautiful, the island of Ireland offers a delicious taste of what Mother Nature can do (when she puts her mind to it, of course!)
