Celebrating the cream of Irish talent, both musical and artistic, Le Cheile Arts & Music Festival 2012 will celebrate its 15th year in 2012. One of the country's most independent festivals, Le Cheile is run by volunteers every August Bank Holiday Weekend, drawing huge crowds to the streets of Oldcastle for a fun filled weekend of the very best in Irish music. Events over the course of the week include historical talks, art workshops, street traders and stalls, live art exhibitions, two big name music gigs each night from Friday night right through to Monday night, along with street theatre, fire dancing, art exhibitions, and street entertainment for all the family. Camping facilities will be available for the event in nearby Loughcrew Gardens in 2012, and the town of Oldcastle will come alive to welcome its new visitors, as we all come together once more.
