Woodenbridge —County Wicklow

The village can boast the oldest hotel in Ireland, the Woodenbridge Hotel. The Hotel was established in 1608 when the area came to great prominence during the mining of gold and copper in the locality. Within the proximity of the village there are many opportunities for those interested in pony trekking, picturesque walks etc. The Woodenbridge Golf Club is a lovely club as it meanders it way through the Vale of Avoca. Good fishing can be found here were both the Aughrim and Avoca Rivers meet.
