Mullinavat —County Kilkenny
Situated in the heart of the sunny South East, Mullinavat is pleasantly situated in the valley formed by the little Blackwater River, approximately 13 kilometres north of Waterford.
Mullinavat, in Irish Muileann an Bhata, means 'mill of the stick'. Tradition has it that the name was derived from an ancient mill which could only be approached by means of a rough stick over the Glendonnel River, where the bridge on the main road is now beside the Garda Station.
