From heather-flecked mountains and manicured gardens to clean, white beaches and mind-blowing sea cliffs, Ireland is a feast for the eyes
Scenery & Nature
I like a garden party…
Then your ultimate destination has got to be the Garden Show Ireland at Hillsborough Castle. It is renowned for its stunning location with a setting in the Walled Garden at Hillsborough Castle. As well as taking it easy and languishing in the idyllic surroundings of the castle and its gardens, you can enjoy inspirational show gardens, get some expert advice from top gardening experts, international designers and a celebrity chef, and buy some exotic plants and displays. The three-day event takes place in June and is enormously popular with visitors from all over the island.

I like walking. And I like festivals…
There are few events in Ireland that capture the spirit of connecting with nature quite so well as a walking festival. Walking in Ireland is an unadulterated joy with vast stretches of unspoiled landscapes. And along the way you get to experience tranquil countryside, vibrant villages, historic sites, and some of the most dramatic vistas in the country. From the Castlebar International Four Days Walking Festival, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, to the Mourne International Walking Festival through the spectacular Mourne Mountains, there’s something for everyone regardless of your ability.
