Asdee —County Kerry

Set in the scenic and fresh wide-open space at the mouth of the Shannon estuary, just north of Ballybunion, it was once a stronghold of the great O'Connor chieftains and nobility.
The village is in the heartland of an area that has a very strong literary heritage - Ballylongford, where Brendan Kennelly, the distinguished poet, writer and lecturer was born; and Listowel home to many notable North Kerry writers among them: Bryan McMahon, John B. Keane and J.A. Gaughan.
