Cassiopeia Winds will play at Waterford City Hall this March.Ibert: Trois Pieces Breves; Danzi: Wind Quintet in D Minor; Nielsen: Wind Quintet; Hindemith: 'Kleine Kammermusik'; and Arnold: Sea Shanties for wind quintet. Cassiopeia Winds was founded in Dublin in 2010, initially as a wind quintet, but with a view to exploring all wind chamber music, its numbers changing accordingly. Its members are amongst Ireland's finest wind players, with a wealth of orchestral, chamber and solo experience. Cassiopeia is a constellation in the northern sky, easily recognisable due to its distinctive "W" shape formed by 5 bright stars. Admission is €15, students €5. Promoted by Waterford Music.
