 Irlanda tem uma boa rede de autocarros e comboios. Bus Eireann and Irish Rail service the Republic, while Ulster Bus and Northern Ireland Railways service Northern Ireland. 

O DART (o comboio rápido da área de Dublin) serve a área de Dubllin de Howth e Malahide no Norte do Condado de Dublin via Dun Laoghaire no Sul do Condado de Dublin a Greystones no Condado de Wicklow. A zona de Dublin é servida pelo Dublin Bus. 

A zona de Belfast é servida pelo Belfast City Bus e Northern Ireland Railways.

Irish Rail in the Republic of Ireland has a number of rail deals for overseas visitors.

These include:

 
• Overseas visitors over the age of 66 can avail of special discounted return tickets between any two stations in the Republic of Ireland (does not apply to cross-border travel) for a maximum of €26. Offer is valid for a return journey within one month. To avail of this discount, customers must present a valid passport or national identity card at an Iarnród Éireann Ticket Office before travel and complete an application form on or before the date of travel. This offer is available from Station Ticket Offices only and cannot be issued from Ticket Vending Machines or via Irishrail.ie. • 50% discount on tickets booked online for travel on Saturdays and some services on Sundays during the summer period.
