Cork Lifelong Learning Festival

Cork City

18 March 2013 - 24 March 2013

The 10th Cork Lifelong Learning Festival's motto is: 'Investigate - Participate - Celebrate'! Its aims are twofold: to celebrate those already participating in learning of all kinds and to raise awareness of the huge range of options there are all over Cork City for others to get involved. There are over 430 free events ranging from performances to information sessions, guided tours & nature walks to exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, with plenty of opportunities for people to try something new. They take place in venues all over the city, and on the water and streets. Organisations involved in formal & informal learning take part - among them UCC, CIT, colleges of further education, sporting & arts organisations, IT, crafts, languages, the environment, and many others. The festival is inclusive, encouraging marginalised groups to participate by organising events & attending them. The emphasis is on fun - showing that learning is always enjoyable, whatever your age.
