Dungannon —County Tyrone

With a population of about 10,000, Dungannon is one of the major towns in County Tyrone and has a whole host of attractions to lure visitors. Buzzy, busy and packed with shops and restaurants, the town's heritage is inextricably linked with the textile industry and is also home to the famed Tyrone Crystal.
Dating back 2000 years, the crystal tradition is still carried on in a modern factory at Killybrackey. Conducted tours are available. Attractive and architecturally interesting, Dungannon also has a fine sporting tradition and as well as boasting one of Ireland's finest rugby clubs, Dungannon RFC, the town has also produced two sporting greats - golfer Darren Clarke and snooker player Denis Taylor.
