Castleconnell Craft Fair started as a Sunday evening display of the work of the local craft workers. From these beginnings, it has become an established two day event. Held annually on the October Bank Holiday weekend, the craft fair hosts over 45 displays of varied craft from many parts of Ireland. It has become a nationally important and much sought-after event in the craft workers' calendar. The range of craft on display includes a wide variety of Irish made pieces in various media – artwork, ceramics, glassware, knitwear, woodwork and many more. The Castle Oaks House Hotel is the perfect location for the fair, with ample parking, easy access and food and drinks available throughout the weekend. This event provides an excellent opportunity to purchase crafted pieces directly from the craft worker. The Castleconnell Craft Fair attracts over 2,000 visitors annually. Just off the M7 at Exit 28.
