Culture Night began in 2006 as an initiative led by Temple Bar Cultural Trust. On Culture Night hundreds of arts and cultural venues throw open their doors late into the night with many running a free events programme for young and old including tours, talks, exhibitions, concerts, outdoor events, films and a whole range of other exciting activities. Culture Night is a new and imaginative route for people of all ages to connect with the arts and cultural life of the city. It is an important event on the cultural calendar providing access to people who may not otherwise be able to enjoy the rich cultural offering of the country's cultural venues.
