L’ovest d’Irlanda è un posto di magia, piena di bellissime cittadine e paesini atmosferici, una costiera sensazionale, le scogliere che si elevano dal mare, un paesaggio pietroso con una bellezza desolata e un patrimonio culturale ricca di tradizione. 

Il Sud include le contee Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Limerick, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Offaly e Tipperary e ti colpisce come nessun’altra parte del mondo può e offre un’esperienza unica a quelli che lo visitano.

Il dramma evocativo del paesaggio di Donegal include il Glenveagh National Park e Castle, dalla cima della Ben Bulben di Sligo si può guardare la contea di Yeats dall’alto, o per un altro punto d’osservazione prendi un viaggio oceanico alle isole Aran a Galway o l’isola Achill a Mayo. 

Per quelli con una testa per le altezze, niente è più gratificante di una passeggiata lungo le scogliere di Moher a Clare! Un po’ più vicino al livello del mare il parco pittoresco ‘Lough Key Forest Park’ a Roscommon è un rifugio di tranquillità; mentre la bellezza leggendaria del fiume Shannon che si estende dalle contee di Leitrim e Offaly a Limerick toglie il respiro.

Ben servito da 5 aeroporti regionali si può prendere un aereo a Shannon, Galway, Knock, Donegal e anche all’aeroporto di Derry che è vicino. Dunque, se vuoi dare sollievo all’anima in solitudine su un’isola remota o sentire la passione di un festival vivace d’estate, il far west ha tutto!
