Ireland in your classroom
We've brought together a few resources to help you make the 17th a special day in your school.

Make your own badge!
In Ireland everyone wears a small bunch of shamrock on the big day. We thought you might like to get involved in the tradition too. So we’ve put together a little kit for you to make your own shamrock badge! Just print it out, and follow the instructions. Why not post a picture of you and your results on our Facebook page – best creative efforts get prizes!
Learn Irish (Gaelic)
The Irish (Gaelic) language is still spoken in small areas in the west of Ireland - known as Gaeltacht regions. We've pulled together a few words and phrases (with some guidance on pronounciation!). Why not have a go at wishing your family and friends a happy St Patrick's Day 'as gaelige' (in Irish).
Poster of Ireland
Add some colour to your day by printing off an Irish poster to decorate your walls. We really like this one – it’s got some fantastic detail. You can easily imagine starting off an adventure only to find yourself waylaid along the way by a chance encounter with one of Ireland’s charming icons.
