Clarecastle comes alive with Irish mucic and dance this July. There is plenty entertainment available for all both outdoor and indoor. In the event of adverse weather conditions outdoor events will be held indoors. Music classes, all instruments at Clarecastle National School, Set dancing workshops, Ceili Mor, Abbey Hall, Sean Nos Workshops, Cross Roads Dancing. There will be music classes for beginners and improvers and a master class will be held. A music tribute night in Navin’s pub takes place on the Thursday to John Joe Casey the great Clarecastle fiddle player and concertina player who composed many tunes. A hugely popular Singers night featuring the Ennis Singers Club and singers who will travel from all over Munster to this event in Powers Pub on the Friday night. On Saturday night there will be a Ceili Band in the Abbey Hall for a Ceilí Mór and on Sunday there will be Aifreann Tradisunta for deceased members of Comhaltas followed by Sean Nós workshops with Suzanne Leahy. In the afternoon Céili at the Crossroads will take place with the Four Courts Céilí Band at Kerin’s cross, Clarecastle.
