The Lough Gur Summer Solstice Festival celebrates summer with music, song, dance, drama, sporting events and family fun. The Solstice has been celebrated in Lough Gur over the past 5,000 years – be part of the celebration in 2013! Events planned include a ceili; a long walk for a long day – walk in the footsteps of our ancestors over 4 hills around Lough Gur; a pub quiz; fun run; an evening of drama, song and music at the Honey Fitz Theatre; genealogy workshop; a guided historical walking tour of Lough Gur; and a family day at the lakefront featuring craft market, circus skills workshop, jugglers, magicians, a step back in time with Dennis O'Connor's exhibition, pet farm, bouncy castles, kayaking, guided tours, entry to Heritage Centre, music and the Lough Gur National School reunion!
