Irish people have memories of a day spent in the bog - saving turf, family day out, hill walking. This event aims to motivate visitors to come and share their memories and to celebrate them on International Bog Day 28th July 2013. What better way to do this then over a cup of tea and brown bread in the Bog of Allen. Make a weekend of it by joining us on Pollardstown Fen on the 27th of July for a guided tour and a chance to undertake a variety of wetland experiences including crafts with rushes, dipping in ponds for mini-beasts and identifying wildlife on the fen.
