Halloween Festival at Slieve Aughty Riding Centre

Loughrea

26 October 2013 - 03 November 2013

Throughout the week of Halloween, Slieve Aughty Centre invites families for a great day out with FREE entry and lots of activities for Halloween. Although there are plenty of spooky characters around the centre, the highlight of the week is the haunted trail. Count the witches, ghosts, and monsters in the forest on the back of a pony, or go on foot and follow their trail! If you dare, visit the haunted house of Bloody Mary in the Enchanted Wood. The entire story is available for older kids and adults who like a good scary tale. For younger children, there is a short nature trail, complete with ridiculous riddles and a nature journal to keep you busy. Stop at the nature hut to learn about Halloween's favourite wild creatures that live at Slieve Aughty such as spiders, bats and rats! Back at the centre, make some Halloween crafts, get your face painted, pet the animals, and try a special Halloween menu at The Three Towers Organic Kitchen. Be sure to stop in to the dress up room and try on a silly wardrobe or wig - dressing up is not just for kids! Enter a contest to win a family pass to the 2013 Christmas Festival, and you can help out a good cause by joining the Howl-O-Ween Charity Ride, benefiting Crumlin Children's Hospital. Small fee for pony rides and food. All other activities free!
