CELT Traditional and Ecological Skills Training Weekend is an environmental learners gathering offering professional tuition in a natural location. Choose from 15 traditional and ecological introductory skills courses: basketry, wood carving, copper-smithing, herb lore, rustic furniture, blacksmithing, felt craft, natural building skills, sculptural wood carving, silver-smithing, needle-felting, sugan chair making, longbow making, spinning & weaving and natural dyeing, dry-stone and lime mortar walling, knife making, bowl & spoon carving, or musical instrument making (using recycled materials). For youngsters aged 8-14, there are lessons on adventure bush-craft (wilderness skills). Lunches and refreshments will be available and concession and group discount rates are available. Enjoy a local guided walk and talk on Saturday evening followed by a social get-together. A great opportunity to learn a new skill, meet new friends and share information and ideas about sustainable living and environmental issues.
