Seachtain na Gaeilge - Contae na Gaillimhe

Galway City

04 March 2013 - 17 March 2013

Is é is cuspóir na féile ná an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn ar fud na hÉireann agus ar fud an domhain. Seachtain na Gaeilge is a non-profit organisation which helps to promote the Irish language and culture both at home and abroad within a two week festival held in March every year. Croí na Teanga - It's You! (Heart of the Language - It's You!) is the motto of the festival, meaning that everyone, no matter what age they are or what country they live in, is central to the renewal of the Irish language. Seachtain na Gaeilge is a festival to celebrate the Irish language with activities and events organised throughout the country in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day in order to facilitate the promotion and use of the Irish language. Whether fluent or not, Seachtain na Gaeilge is an opportunity to experience, practice, learn and enjoy the Irish Language. The festival also provides an opportunity for schools to organise their own series of events and for groups not usually involved with the language to organise their own events 'as Gaeilge'. Conradh na Gaeilge provide support for all groups participating in Seachtain na Gaeilge. Tugann Seachtain na Gaeilge deis féile spraíúil a reachtáil agus an Ghaeilge a labhairt agus a cheiliúradh. Beidh clár leathan d'imeachtaí eagraithe agus beidh na mílte daoine ag glacadh páirte iontu. Croí na Teanga – It's You! Bígí Linn!
