The Cavan Kayakarun is a sports event including running, kayaking and cycling, catering for both the serious and recreational athlete. There are two event distances: the Cavan Kayakarun XL Challenge (5k run, 2k kayak and 49k cycle) and the Cavan Kayakarun Challenge (5k run, 1k kayak and 16k cycle). Enter as an individual or as a team of 2 or 3. The event is very well organised with static and mobile marshals all around the routes. There is a friendly camaraderie among all competitors. The nature and atmosphere of the event is that anyone can do it, it's all about part the taking part and having fun! Family entertainment is provided during the event and in the evening there is music in Gallonray House as part of the social side of the Cavan Kayakarun. Make this a must see/do event in your 2013 calendar!
