Westport's Fifth Annual Christmas / New Year Walking Festival 2012

See the old year out in style and welcome in 2013 with a weekend of walking in the glorious Mountains of Mayo. This year we are combining the walks with a cycle on the famous Greenway cycling route that runs from Achill to Westport. Meet new people, enjoy the chat and some of the best views in the country – on a weekend that is a must for the serious hill walker. Included: * Transport to and from the walks. • Transport to Achill on the morning of cycle • Bike provided • Insured Experienced Guides Itinerary: • Saturday December 29th – Mweelrea mountain. Connaught’s highest at 814m. • Sunday December 30th – Western Way from Aasleagh falls to Drummin. This 9 mile low level flat walk follows the banks of the Erriff river before turning North through woodland. The walk finishes close to Drummin village. • Monday December 31st: - Greenway Cycle. You will be transferred to Achill Island where you will pick up your bike. The cycle follows the route of the old Westport to Achill railway line and is 42k in distance. Price: 3 days activity €90 2 days activity €70 *Transport: Bus will pick up from the Octagon in the centre of Westport at 9.15 am on Day 1 and at 10.15 on Days 2 & 3. Booking is Essential.
