North Leitrim Glens 19th Walking Festival offers both a long and a short hill walk each day in the magical north Leitrim glens. Also a guided Sunday ramble suitable for all. North Leitrim Glens 19th Walking Festival offers both a long and a short hill walk each day. The long walks (6-7 hours walking on the hills) are relatively strenuous and for fit, experienced walkers. The other walks are for walkers who prefer shorter walks at a slower pace (5-6 hours on the hills). The ramble on Sunday is a 3 hour guided archaeology and wild life walk on country roads or paths and is suitable for all. All walks will take place in the magical north Leitrim glens to include Leitrim drumlins, archaeological sites, seascapes, mountain lakes, heathery slopes or whin covered braes.
