The 18th Dan Furey Weekend is one of the must attend festivals in the set dancing scene. Labasheeda is situated on the northern bank of the Shannon Estuary twelve miles from Kilrush where the hospitality is well known with many visitors staying with local families for the duration. Set and step-dancing workshops are held on Saturday morning and a highlight of the weekend is the visit to the Battery Fortress at Kilkerrin point where music and dancing is provided for your entertainment. The top bands are playing and all set-dancers are catered for.
