Dublin Chinese New Year Festival 2012 - The Year of the Dragon will see the second Chinese film festival, a special arts programme including a focus on traditional Chinese culture - lion and dragon dancing, tai chi, martial arts, children's workshops, a Peking Opera multimedia project, Opera in the Open, a special exhibition at Chester Beatty Library, Chinese violin soloist in concert and musical performances. The annual lecture series will see a focus on Dublin as the City of Science with a seminar in TCD Science Gallery, and other lectures on history and contemporary China. A sports programme with badminton and table tennis and a special carnival in Temple Bar Square will welcome the Dragon and the mythical 'quilin'. See website for details.
