Northern Ireland
A megalithic, wedge-shaped tomb dating from around 4,000-4,500 years ago. The roof of the whole chamber would have been capstoned, however, only one remains. The entrance faces west and has a double portal leading to a single burial chamber. On excavation cremated bone, of perhaps three individuals, was found along with a number of other artefacts. Featured in the 'Journey in Time' Archaeological Tour. Interpretation available on site.
