The Ark Rare Breeds Open Farm

Add to My Ireland Newtownards Down - Northern Ireland

The ‘Ark’ Open Farm is owned and run by the Donaldson family who opened the gates to the farm in August 1990 with a view to educating visitors on the need for conservation and preservation of some of the rarest domestic animals from a bygone era. The farm is open all year round and is home to the largest variety of animals in Ireland. The Pets Corner and interactive Big Green Barn Farm is a hive of activity for children and adults alike: cuddling rabbits, chicks, guinea pigs and bottle feeding little lambs and kid goats. Special events are throughout the year and Christmas is no exception.
