Seagahan Lake Reservoir

Add to My Ireland Armagh City Armagh - Northern Ireland

The lake will fish well from mid March with a hatch of duckfly giving excellent sport with the over wintered fish. Regular stocking in the spring and early summer ensure plenty of fish for the summer evenings when floating lines with buzzers, sedges and nymphs will all be successful. Boat anglers should consistently catch the bag limit of six trout, especially when the water is warm as the fish seek out the cooler depths in the middle of the lake. Late season should see good sport in certain areas as thefish gather ready to run the feeder streams to breed.

There is a size limit of 12 inches, fly fishing only and no fishing from the dam wall.

A DCAL licence is required (£17). Armagh Fisheries permits are £15 per day (4 fish limit) or £90 per season (£110 for new members).
