This reservoir, set in rugged surroundings in the heart of the Mournes near the source of the River Bann, supplies water to the Portadown and Banbridge areas. Opened for angling to DCAL permit holders for the first time in 1971, it has proved popular - particularly during the summer months but anglers should dress appropriately as the weather can change suddenly. This lough has not been stocked for a number of years. It has a hard fighting stock of small wild trout and is operated as a wild hill loughfishery. Popular flies for this upland water include Bibio, Zulu, Black Pannel and Peter Ross. For further information contact The Harbour Estate, Tel. (028) 4176 2789.
Summer bus service, 2008.
