Rafters Bar & Restaurant

Rafters Bar and Restaurant is currently run by the fourth generation of the Friel family. The bar has been in the family name for over one hundred years.

In the public bar you will get a real feel of the old world, with pictures and memorabilia of by gone times. The open fire gives a cosy glow and adds to the character of the bar.

The restaurant and bar suite has been recently refurbished for extra comfort. Food is served seven days a week from 12 noon to 9pm (from 9.30 am on Saturdays). Daily specials and Sunday lunch is available from twelve noon to 4pm. Booking is advisable on Sundays to avoid disappointment.

The function suite is ideal for private functions and parties, surprise birthdays, anniversaries, christenings or small weddings can be catered for. Live music is enjoyed by all every Saturday night, traditional music sessions occur on the first Friday of every month, enjoy the craic in the friendly atmosphere.

Rafters won the prestigious award for Northern Ireland's Best Tourism/Visitor Pub at the Pub of the Year Gala Awards held at Belfast City Hall in November 2010.
