Saul, Co. Down is the homeland of St. Patrick where he held his first prayer meeting. He is reputed to be buried with St. Bridget and St. Colmcille in nearby Downpatrick. Paddy's Barn is situated between two of the most visited sites dedicated to him. One is the legendary St. Patrick's mountain which hosts a statue in his memory and the other is the church where his prayer meetings were held.
So why not take a trip over to visit this historic site and beautiful countryside with the family? While you are there why not call into Paddy's Barn, which has recently been renamed and is now owned by the Sloan Family, where you can enjoy a warm friendly atmosphere, good food and drink with plenty of good old Irish craic. Most importantly we are a family run bar and we know how important it is to be child friendly.
If you are visiting the area from further a field then why not stay with us at Paddy's Sleepy Orchard Bed & Breakfast. You can take advantage of our booking enquiry form to check availability for your stay.
