- Directions: Clare Island is off the Mayo coast in the west of Ireland. There is a ferry service from Roonagh Quay in Louisburgh. There is a bus service from Westport to Roonagh. Ballytoughey Loom is located 3km (2 miles) from the pier on the lighthouse road and is clearly signposted from the harbour. There is a taxi service on the island, tel: +353 (0)98 25640.

Cottage industry working in handweaving, natural dying and spinning. A wide range of handwoven accessories in natural fibres of silk, wool and cashmere. Also a range of handwoven, naturally dyed and homespun rugs. Much of my work is fine silk and concentrates on intricate patterns. Each piece is unique. Demonstations on site in season are offered as well as a full schedule of courses in spinning, dying and hand weaving.
