Gallagher’s Seafood Restaurant and J.P. Clarke’s Country Pub offer you amazing seafood and traditional pub food with friendly staff that will cater for your every need. Recently awarded Clare’s best restaurant by the Restaurant Association of Ireland, we have proven to be the ideal venue for both locals and tourists. Gallagher’s is a renowned and award winning seafood restaurant, with its thatched roof and country cottage warmth welcomes you to a candle lit dinner that will ensure you have a real traditional Irish experience that you will truly remember. Gallagher’s offer a wide range of locally sourced fish i.e. lobster, oysters, black sole as well as meat, poultry, and vegetarian dishes to add a touch of diversity. Gallagher’s is an 18th century country cottage which was tastefully restored in 1994 and developed into a restaurant. While the building was modernised, great care was taken to retain its rustic image. Next door is J.P. Clarke’s, a rustic country pub featuring reclaimed sandstone floors timber beams with brick and stone walls. J.P. Clarke’s opened in November 2008 since J.P.’s has opened we have developed a reputation for excellence in food and a warm traditional friendly welcome. J.P. Clarke’s offers a wide variety menu to suit all tastes with poultry, meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes to add to its excellence. Only the freshest of ingredients is acceptable to our Head Chef, Jorg Gerlach and his dedicated kitchen team to create delicious dishes. The atmosphere in both Gallagher’s and J.P. Clarke's is relaxed, friendly and informal, wrapped up in a quiet and idyllic setting. We cater for all types of bookings, from family and friends, to evenings out, to larger corporate and business dinner meetings. Our speciality is the ability to offer our guests menus featuring the finest locally sourced beef, venison & lamb dishes to the award winning seafood platters on offer, Gallagher's and J.P. Clarke's has it all! It is our attention to detail and high level of service that ensures your whole dining experience will be truly memorable J.P. Clarke's serves from 12 noon to 10 pm every day while Gallagher's is open every night from 5.30 pm to 10 pm and on Sunday lunch 12.30 pm to 3 pm. Bunratty is a great location to spend the day away enjoying fine food and chilled wines and beers and historical landmarks.
