Lahinch beach faces the open Atlantic Ocean. A large crescent-shaped sandy beach close to Liscannor. Close to the Burren area with its unique limestone landscape. The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season (lifeguard patrol times are displayed on the information noticeboard at the beach). This is a very popular location with surfers. Facilities: Lahinch is a popular resort town with many restaurants and accommodation. Activities: Swimming, surfing. Cliffs of Moher are a short drive away Operator: CLARE COUNTY COUNCIL An Taisce Blue and Green Flag Beach Awards take place each year in early June.
