Cappa is a small rocky beach. There is a small pier and harbour. Close to Scattery Island which is a worthwhile place to visit. A good place for birdwatchers, the beach is lifeguard patrolled during the bathing season (lifeguard times are displayed on the information noticeboard at the beach). Restaurants and shops in Kilrush. Toilets for the disabled in town square. Blue and Green Flag Beach Awards take place each year in early June.
