Drummindoo Stud & Equitation Centre

Drummindoo Stud and Equitation Centre is located just one mile from Westport, County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland and offers horseriding lessons, pony trekking, pony camps, beach and day rides and Western riding. All activities are overseen by a qualified and experienced instructor. The emphasis is on fun and learning in a safe environment with everyone positively progressing in their own time. They have vast experience and continually upgrade the facilities so that whatever the weather, riding is still possible. Facilities include an indoor arena, outdoor menage and a gallop track all with a sand and rubber surface. Added to this is a full set of show jumps. They are able to cater for school groups, birthday parties and those with special needs. They provide hard hats for riding and recommend comfortable clothing and boots with a heel. Experienced riders can avail of The Clew Bay Trail Ride which takes small groups of experienced riders through new and ever changing landscapes of small villages, breathtaking sandy beaches, sea and off-shore islands, country lanes, mountain tracks and local heritage sites, stopping for a picnic along the way. All trails are personally guided by Padraic Foy, a qualified instructor and an accomplished horseman whose family have been involved with horses in the locality for generations. This combined with the spectacular Clew Bay region, quality Irish horses and excellent accommodation ensures this is a holiday you will cherish forever.
