Cork Cycling Festival

Cork Cycling Festival is entirely free to the public, welcoming all ages and walks of life with a special focus on family-friendly events. The festival is run by a voluntary team who just love bikes as a great way to get about and want to inspire more people to cycle. The festival is in its 6th year and offers a super variety of cycle themed events & entertainment. The annual cycle tours are at the heart of the festival and cover a serious amount of ground, featuring everything from poetry cycles to science cycles to day long road trips. As well as being practical tools of transport, bikes are beautiful creations. Each year the festival exhibition celebrates/showcases the artists and images who are inspired by the bike and bike parts. The festival celebrates the stylish cyclists who cycle on the streets every day. Cycle Style also shows off the gear that's available to make cycling more comfy in all weathers. If there is one thing Cork Cycling Festival goers like to do, it's to show off their bikes and make some noise! Every year the festival features the hotly contested 'Pimp My Bike' Competition and dynamic bike parades through the city. 2013 dates to be confirmed.
