Surrounded in myth and legend the indigenous Celtic peoples are often over looked as a culture with living skills akin to other existing indigenous peoples such as the Sami in Lapland and the Aborigines of Australia and Native American Indians. However the monuments, which remain, sprinkled across our nation echo of a race not only capable of survival but of complex construction. In understanding our relationship with nature and wilderness we need the skills. These most primitive and essential skills lie deep and dormant in race memory within us all. Join us on one of our many specialist courses where will teach you these survival and wilderness skills. When your first childhood memory is how to kill a scorpion without getting stung or where your parents keep the snakebite kit in the Land Rover or the spare one in the house, why you have to take salt tabs with your water, why you boil it first, how to set up a mosquito net etc you tend to think of this as normal and not survival training but with out it some of our adventures may have had a different ending. Living in Iran and Yemen travelling regularly into desert, or up into high mountains and experiencing vast wilderness required organisation and preparation and as often as not a great deal of improvisation which our father seemed to carry brimming over in an invisible man alive backpack. A lifetime of experience and a great sense of adventure have taken me to many far-flung places and many interesting peoples most recently to the Arctic as a guest of the Sami. We run our courses is some of the most beautiful landscape in this country, venues as varied as coastline, Tidal River, wind swept mountain range ancient Irish wilderness, which we hope will inspire you. Our courses are aim at people who enjoy the out doors and want to learn more. We cater for all levels of experience and provide family events also. Our aim has always been to add to the knowledge of the participant and provide safe and reliable training which in the future allows the participant to coexist in the natural environment comfortably.
