The Irish Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association is a national organisation for the sports of hang-gliding and paragliding. It is a democratic association of pilots run by its members, guided by its constitution, which it adopted in 1997. The committee comprises a chairman, a secretary, a treasurer, the training and flight safety officer, a hang-gliding and a paragliding competitions officer. The Irish Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association based in Rathfarnham, County Dublin is affiliated with the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI), the International Hang Gliding & Paragliding Commission, the International de Vol Libre (CIVL) and the National Aeroclub of Ireland (NACI)
