An Ceard Siopa/Heritage House is a traditional thatched cottage that contains a fine folk collection, which spans the history of island life and organizes poetry readings and sean nós singing. It is located on the Island of Inis Oírr (Inishere), one of the Aran Islands in County Galway. There is a craft shop which among other items sells rare books, a tearoom and an exhibition area. An Ceard Siopa is open in June, July and August from 10.00 to 18.00 (Monday-Saturday inclusive). You can visit outside of these dates but please ring in advance to arrange.
