Féile Chois Cuain

Since its inception in 1995, Féile Chois Cuain has gained a wonderful reputation and is acknowledged to be among the very best traditional arts festivals. The festival has gone from strength to strength over the years and 2013 will be the 19th year. Louisburgh (or to give it its Irish name, Cluain Cearbán – the meadow of the buttercup) is the place to be for the best of music, song and dance, ceol, craic, cairdeas agus cuideachta this May. Outstanding traditional arts exponents will teach classes and play in concerts and sessions. The artists on the programme each year are among the elite of the genre - the list abounds with All-Ireland and Oireachtas champions. Apart from the invited guests many other musicians (from home and abroad) flock to one of the country's most scenic areas to enjoy this celebration of Irish culture.
